This is my card for this week's WTUI challenge from Michelle ~ Balloons .
It's also for this week's CCEE Stampers challenge from Shirley.
For obvious reasons Shirley has asked us to create a card using red, white and blue, but it doesn't have to be patriotic. I love this little mouse pieced in red and blue, so he was an obvious choice. With a bit of careful masking I added the balloons from the same set to give a fun, celebratory feel.
Remembering a recent TLC from Joan when she asked us to fill the background with border dies, this chevron background had been in my mind to try.
Mouse is pieced, layered on black, lots of white dots added everywhere since they helped the letters to stand out
Excuse any typos, I'm away from home till the weekend and don't have anything other than my phone with me ;-)

Such a happy, fun card. I love white gel pen dots...you just can't go wrong with white dots and they look great on this adorable card. I really like the pieced clothes on the cute little mouse. He looks like those balloons are going to carry him away.

Sabrina your balloon card is so cute... I haven't seen that image in years... I can't remember the last time I used it but I still like it...you have done a wonderful job of paper piecing, making all the dots and also the chevron bg... very well done in red/white/blue for the holiday....

I have never seen this image, it is beyond cute, although I suspect his cuteness comes from his gorgeous paper pieced outfit. Great card Sabrina, and I hope you are having a great holiday my friend.

Nice card, Sabrina! One of my all-time fav SU stamps! Like your background and very cool to white dot your letters and border to make them look like their lit. Hee!
